A entertainment oriented community radio producer and digital media masters student, my objective news passion is heavily influenced by ‘48 hours’ correspondents Erin Moriarty and Peter Van Sant. A CBS investigative news program; roles listed include Executive Producer Judy Tyguard who oversees all aspects of the U.S. weekly (2019a). Four correspondents including Maureen Maher, Richard Schlesinger plus contributor Tracey Smith; report particular subjects from different locations (Cambridge Dictionary, n.d.). Correspondent work involves shooting, writing, editing and instant subject expertise according to Aaron Weiss; conservation focused news deputy director. Other roles are Director Rob Klug, Executive Story Editor Nancy Kramer, Senior Broadcast Producer and Senior Producers Patti Aronofsky, Peter Sechweitzer, Lourdes Aguiar (2019a). Story editor’s work hand-in-hand with writers, overseeing changes in content like ‘48 hours’, correcting and evaluating (Chegg, 2019). Senior broadcast producer Anthony Batson liaises with Senior Producers using strong news understanding to manage and shape broadcast and brand (CBS, n.d.c.). Senior producers incorporate digital strategy and content with weekly planning, assignment, editing, working with correspondents and producers and social media practice (CBS, n.d.e).
